The Leaf razor is billed as a plastic-free alternative to a standard multi-blade disposable-cartridge model like the Gillette Mach3 (our pick). Chiefly, it is just that. But shaving with it for four weeks also reminded me of my favorite parts of shaving with a more traditional safety razor—combined with the comfort and ease of using a cartridge—and provided a level of customization I didn’t know I wanted.
